GS1 Hungary

GS1 is an international organisation operating in the field of global standards for more than 30 years. It was formed from the joining of EAN (European Article Numbering Association) and the UCC (Uniform Code Council) in the beginning of 2005 as a global organization controlled by more than a million member company of more than 140 countries through its 108 national member organisation.

GS1 offers products, services and solution having fundamental role in the improvement of the efficiency of supply chain. GS1 is the most widely adopted standard system of the supply chain with its presence in 20 different sectors from the FMCG through healthcare to the defence sector.

The most well known component of the system is the barcode identification which is the inseparable part of the commercial processes. Numbers displayed with barcode images allow electronic scanning for the machines which helps and makes faster the flow of information at the store checkouts, store receiving and any other places where it is needed in business processes.

The GS1 was transformed from an organisation creating standards and facilitating their introduction into a provider organisation, indicated by the change in the name of the international organisation and its member organisations.

GDSN

The even more accurate and efficient information management means considerable cost savings in the course of everyday operation.

The continuous data harmonization and synchronization enable and make global trade smoother, enhance the accurateness of communication between trading partners and cut supply chain costs.

The GDSN (Global Data Synchronisation Network) is an internet-based network of closely related databases allowing the companies to exchange data stored in a standardized way at any point of the world and synchronise them with their trading partners involved in the supply chain.

ECR Hungary

The ECR Hungary was formed 9 years ago as the common platform for suppliers and traders of consumer product sector, where great competitors work together for the same common purpose, namely to cut costs in favour of consumers.

Our motto is “Better, faster and cheaper!” in order to provide consumers with wider product range, to make product continuously available on the shelves of stores, to guarantee the quality beside the fair prices. Currently we focus on two areas, the logistics and the electronic data exchange.
